Every vitiligo case is unique. Over the 30 years of experience doing all we can to cure vitiligo and having already treated more than 7.500 vitiligo cases at our center, we are able to provide every new patient with the most appropriate and effective course of treatment.
The treatment mainly consists of personalized galenic formulations, prepared for each patient in the pharmacy under the guidance of Dr. Panagiotis Tsogas (Dermatologist-Pharmacologist and founder of VITILIGO CENTER), depending on the age, the phototype, the location of vitiligo lesions, the duration of the disease and its type. This is a formulation which is applied topically.
We have engaged in university research, evaluating permeability, effectiveness, physicochemical stability, sterility over time, in order to improve our galenic formulations and to find the most appropriate treatment for the specific condition. So, we prepare personalized galenic formulations with a very small amount of steroid, which can be safely used for long periods of time, with clearly higher permeability than commercial ones, with a longer duration of action on the dermis, easy to use, with no side effects of steroids present since the concentrations of active ingredients are programmed in terms of the respective area and age.
Lastly, we incorporate various antioxidants into the galenic formulations that have proven to be valuable for the treatment of vitiligo according to established and more recent research, as antioxidant supplementation can enhance immune responses by neutralizing free radicals.
That is, products of metabolism that are produced in our body every day from solar radiation, smoking, from various substances in food resulting in oxidative stress, i.e. their rapid increase in our body, which is considered as the key to the treatment of vitiligo.
